Violin & Viola Lessons
The violin is one of the most expressive and rewarding instruments you can learn — and one of the most in-demand for students seeking a rigorous, classical foundation. Melody Music Co-op offers private violin and viola lessons in Kirkland for students of all ages, as well as online lessons for students across Seattle and Washington State.

Our violin teachers come to you for in-home lessons anywhere in Kirkland, Redmond, Bellevue, or Sammamish — bringing all necessary materials and instruction tailored to your student's level. In-studio lessons are available at Almost Famous Performing Arts Hub in Totem Lake, Kirkland. Online lessons work exceptionally well for violin and are available statewide.

Violin Lessons for Young Beginners
We welcome violin students as young as 4–5 years old using appropriately sized instruments (1/16 through full size). Early lessons focus on posture, listening, and simple songs before progressing to formal note reading. Starting young gives students a significant long-term advantage in technique and musicianship.
Violin Lessons for Older Beginners & Adults
It's absolutely possible to begin violin as an older child, teenager, or adult. Progress may look different than starting young, but the joy of learning is the same. Adult violin students are welcome at any level — beginner through advanced. We also work with adult returners who studied as children and want to pick the instrument back up.
Viola Lessons
Our violin teachers also teach viola. If your student is interested in viola specifically — or if they're a violinist curious about transitioning — we can accommodate that. Viola is a wonderful choice for students interested in chamber music and orchestra, where viola players are always in high demand.
