How Billing Works

Academic Year

 

Tuition is based on an annual tuition rate for the 10-month academic year (September–June). Tuition includes 37 lessons, with breaks scheduled around major school holidays. Please see our Studio Calendar for scheduled days off and our Policies & FAQ page for information about billing and attendance policies.

Summer Session (July-August)

 

Tuition switches to weekly billing through your payment method on file, with payments going out on Mondays for that week's class. This provides maximum flexibility for families with summer travel plans. Simply provide your teacher with at least 24 hours’ written notice for any week you would like to skip.

Please note that if you skip more than 4 lessons in a row, your lesson time may be offered to another student, and your ability to return to that teacher and time slot will depend on scheduling availability.

* To maintain priority scheduling with our senior teachers, families are expected to schedule a minimum of 8 lessons during July and August.

Additional Fees Explanation

​

ABRSM students are responsible for examination fees charged directly by ABRSM. These include both online theory examinations and practical examinations, which are typically offered in May/June and October/November each year.

​

Students participating in our optional spring and winter recitals are charged a recital fee of $35 per recital. This fee helps cover venue rental, equipment, staffing, and event administration.

Scholarships & Financial Aid

Limited scholarships and fee waivers are available for families experiencing financial hardship. We believe that every student should have access to quality music education regardless of financial circumstances. If cost is a barrier, please contact us confidentially to discuss available options.
