With the right teaching approach and tools, online instruction offers flexibility, accessibility, and excellent educational outcomes for students of all ages.

Immediate access to tools and resources: Teachers can instantly pull up sheet music, audio tracks, composition software, and educational websites — no need to wait a week for a print-out or trip to the store.

An innovative, forward-thinking approach: Many musicians today create and collaborate digitally, so learning music online helps students build real-world, modern musical skills from the start. Lessons may incorporate tools for composition and mixing, including MuseScore Studio, NoteFlight, and GarageBand.

Autonomy-focused teaching: Research shows people learn best by doing. While copying a teacher can help students learn songs, it doesn’t foster long-term independence. Our teachers encourage students to navigate their instruments on their own — a core skill in becoming a confident, self-sufficient musician. All instructors demonstrate on their own instruments as needed, but our hands-off approach supports stronger musicianship over time.
