Who We Are
Our Story...
Welcome to Melody Music Co-Op — a Seattle-based music school with a global reach. Thanks to online lessons, we’re proud to connect with students around the world, wherever they are.
Founded by teachers, parents, and students for teachers, parents, and students, we provide high-quality music and arts lessons for kids, teens, and adults alike. Our mission is to offer thoughtful, developmentally appropriate instruction that’s fun, engaging, and rooted in collaboration between student and teacher.
Melody Music Co-Op is led by Artistic Director Sue Heale, a seasoned educator, composer, and theatre director, and Operations Director Olivia Heale, Sue’s daughter and an experienced teacher and musician in her own right. Our approach is inspired by the Montessori philosophy of exploratory learning, with an emphasis on fostering independent, well-rounded musicianship — and most importantly, making music joyful.
By focusing on online lessons and in-home instruction, rather than a physical studio, we’re able to offer flexible, consistent music education that fits into your life — no matter your location or schedule.
Join us in building a lifelong love of music, one lesson at a time.
